AceShowbiz - Musical guests for this year's Lollapalooza music festival have been announced, listing rapper Snoop Dogg, who will host upcoming MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards, and rock band The Killers, who previously performed at 2009 Coachella Festival. They will join previously-announced performers Kings of Leon, Beastie Boys, Jane's Addiction and Depeche Mode.
Other rappers booked to entertain concertgoers at the annual event are new artists Asher Roth and Kid Cudi. As for other rock acts, Rise Against, TV on the Radio and Arctic Monkeys are all confirmed to make live appearance at the festival.
Concerning the gig, Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction tells Reuters that the concert's organizer is "selling more tickets than ever." He goes on saying, "People need an even bigger excuse to escape more than ever and there is no better escape than going to a festival and just tripping and taking in music."
2009 Lollapalooza music festival will be conducted at Chicago's Grant Park from August 7 to 9 with more than 100 musicians recruited as its performers. Complete lineup as well as tickets for the three-day concert can be obtained on Lollapalooza's official website.
