'The Green Hornet' Villain and Old Hornet Cameo Addressed

Director Michel Gondry spills the bean on who will be making a special cameo in 'The Green Hornet' and gives a hint at who the villain will be.

AceShowbiz - Director Michel Gondry has brought out into the open, cameo and villain to be seen in "The Green Hornet". During a recent interview with MTV, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" first talked about the possibility of Van Williams, the one-time Green Hornet, making an appearance in the film.

When asked about Williams' potential involvement in the feature project, Gondry responded, "Yeah, I think we're going to have Van Williams. We're going to find a cameo for him." He in addition revealed that Williams was the one who reached out to him for the cameo, saying "He asked us to. It's going to be exciting."

About the movie's villain, the man behind Jack Black-starrer "Be Kind Rewind" promised, "The villain is going to be horrible." He added that his baddie will have a gun with two cannons and is able to "shoot people in both eyes with one shot". Of the villain casting, he said, "I hope I'm going to get the actor I want. I can't say his name, but believe me - he's going to be scary like hell."

An adaptation of WXYZ's radio show created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, "The Green Hornet" centers on Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day and masked vigilante "Green Hornet" by night, and his adventures in fighting crimes. Slated for June 25, 2010 U.S. release, the flick is produced by Neal H. Moritz and also penned by Seth Rogen's writing partner in "Knocked Up", "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express", Evan Goldberg. Filming reportedly will start in June.
