Several insiders said that 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' will not be renewed for a third season, considering the low rating it received for the April finale.

AceShowbiz - Ended with a cliffhanger, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has been waiting whether it is given a green or red light from FOX. The official verdict is not yet laid down but multiple sources are informing EW's Ausiello that there won't be a third season for the series starring Summer Glau and Lena Headey.

The second season finale on Friday, April 10 did not manage to pull a large number as only 3.57 million viewers tuned in according to Nielsen TV scan. A source close to the show told EW, "It's done. Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Another insider chimed in, "Consider it canceled."

Still this is emphasized with the fact that FOX has not spawned any press release yet that will confirm the death of the show. A rep for the network said, "No decision has been made yet. We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."

While there has been no report yet on what the cast will do should the show is canceled, one cast apparently has made preparation. Brian Austin Green who plays John's uncle Derek in the series, has enrolled himself in a number of shows. He will be guest starring in an episode of "CSI: Miami" and joins the pilot of The CW's "Body Politic".
