AceShowbiz - A claim that Jessica Simpson has been dropped by Sony Music Nashville is not true. Clarifying the buzzing rumor, her spokesperson states that the relationship between the singer and the recording company is a temporary basis.

"Jessica is and has always been an Epic artist," so the spokesperson says responding to the rumor. "She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album. She continues to be on Epic's label."

Rumor suggesting that Jessica has been dropped by Sony Music Nashville emerges when her name is longer listed in both Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville websites. Despite her spokesperson's statement, representative for the record label declines to comment on the issue.

Jessica Simpson has released one country album titled "Do You Know" in September 2008 under Columbia Nashville. The album has peaked at number one on Billboard Top Country Albums chart and at number four on Billboard Hot 200. Its hit singles include "Come on Over" and "Remember That".
