TV

'Dancing with the Stars' goes on with two injured contestants, Steve-O and Steve Wozniak, trying to keep their existence in the game.

AceShowbiz - It's a Samba and Foxtrot night on the Monday, March 23 episode of "Dancing with the Stars". Steve-O who suffered back injury last week, is present to keep his existence in the competition. Steve Wozniak, who also had an injury on his foot, is fighting for his place as well.

Opening the night is Denise Richards and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who decided upon Samba. It is a stiff performance and the judges use the names of food to refer to how it looks like. Bruno says it was as flat as a waffle and not so much a Samba. Carrie gives a nod to this, adding that Denise's facial expression exhibits fear and her hands are like pancakes. The score is 5-6-5, giving it 16 out of 30.

Chuck Wicks is up next with his real life partner, Julianne Hough. They are the first couple dancing to Foxtrot. Bruno is glad that Chuck finally takes the driver's seat and not overshadowed by Julianne. Len thinks it is "good but not great" while Carrie has faith in them to be a contender. The score is 8-7-8, giving it 23 out of 30.

Holly Madison takes the next turn with Dmitry Chaplin. Apparently the Playboy bunny had a difficulty during the rehearsal for the Samba. Len wants her to work on the foot, and says that the top part doesn't match with the bottom one. She is given 5-6-6, giving it 17 out of 30.

The fourth couple is Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer. The "Jackass" is still obviously in pain from his injury and Lacey has to do almost all of the dance. Len applauds him for his effort in doing a proper foxtrot while Carrie said, "You really impress me and I can see that you are in a lot of pain and I am sorry you had a rough time." The score is 5-5-5, giving it 15 out of 30.

Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska are up next, doing the Samba. Bruno gives him the compliment of a good footwork and precise rhythm but suggests him to have more fun. Len meanwhile, wants him more on the hips and less on the shoulders. The score is 7-6-7, giving it 20 out of 30.

Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas take the dance floor next with foxtrot. They amaze the judges that Carrie calls her a "beautiful and elegant princess". Len says it is her best dance so far while Bruno claims it is like watching a bejeweled hummingbird. The score is 9-9-9, giving it 27 out of 30. The best score the judges have come out with so far in the season.

The show moves on with Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke who dance to Samba. Wearing bright red outfit, Gilles is praised as a "throbbing red-hot poker" by Bruno. Carrie says that she doesn't even know a guy could shake it like that. The score is 9-9-9, giving it 27 out of 30.

David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson do the foxtrot and the judges see a significant improvement from last week. Len says it is the best dance from him so far while Carrie calls him a Rockette. The score is 8-8-8, giving it 24 out of 30.

Steve Wozniak is well enough to do the Samba with Karina Smirnoff. He even manages to do the worm. However, the judges see no good in the routine. Len says that it is simply bad while Carrie says that the cuteness of Steve dancing just wears off. The score is 4-3-3, giving it 10 out of 30.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani come up next, doing the foxtrot. The judges are impressed. Len says Melissa has a great "musicality" and Bruno says it is easy to love. However, Carrie thinks there's something missing from the performance that she doesn't quite know what. The score is 9-9-9, giving it 27 out of 30.

Lil' Kim and Derek Hough have the Samba. Bruno points out that Kim oozes "super size sex appeal". Carrie says it was hot, adding that she likes the way Kim attacks the dance. Len gives criticism to Derek whom he thinks doesn't quite put Samba to its place. The score is 8-8-9, giving it 25 out of 30.

The final couple of the night is Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower. Carrie complements Ty for being the most improved dancer while Bruno says Chelsie is a miracle worker for Ty. The score is 8-8-7, giving it 23 out of 30.
