A Look at 'The Goon' First Images Shared

Two brand new photos from the David Fincher-produced 'The Goon' have made its way out, presenting a look at how the forthcoming animation feature falls into place.

AceShowbiz - Eric Powell's announcement that Dark Horse comic book by the name of "The Goon" is getting its feature film treatment has been proven to be true as two new images from the movie version have come out. Posted by Ain't It Cool, the pictures give a taste of how "The Goon" will look like in the big screen.

One of the photos displays The Goon and Franky having a beer after knocking out a green monster, while the other still shows a shot of The Goon up-close. In addition to those two images, Blur Studios and Dark Horse Comics cover artist Sean McNally had previously posted some of the very early concept art and a high resolution version of the film's teaser poster on his Sporadic Sketch Blog.

"The Goon" will follow the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster Labrazio. The stories have been described to be having a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and "skunk apes." It is based on Eric Powell's 1999 comic book series which was firstly published through Avatar Press but later ended up on Dark Horse Comics' lap.
