TV

'American Idol' has announced the highest male vote-getter, highest female vote-getter and next highest vote-getter from the second batch of Top 36.

AceShowbiz - The live result show is read for the next three contestants to advance to the Top 12 of "American Idol" this season. Ryan Seacrest announced that 25 million of votes were cast last night but before he can read out who got the most, montage of the performances are shown in flashes. Next is the group performance of Ne-Yo's "Closer".

Allison Iraheta, the red-hair who impressed the judges with her rendition of Heart's "Alone", is called first. Jesse Langseth and Matt Breitzke are called in also to join Allison and Ryan said one of them will move on to the next round. Matt and Jesse go home, Allison Iraheta secures the spot and takes the stage again to sing her song.

The show is apparently saving time by calling a bunch altogether. Megan Corkrey is called to the center stage along with Matt Giraud, Kris Allen and Jeanine Vailles. Again, one of them is in and three others are out. Jeanine is the first to go, followed by Matt and later, Megan. Kris Allen nabs the fifth stool.

The result for the last one is held up with the intermission of a montage from previous seasons. Alumna Brooke White then performs, promoting her single "Hold Up My Heart" which is taken from her debut album.

Three girls join Ryan on the stage, they are Mishavonna Henson, Kai Kalama and Jasmine Murray. None of them go through. It's down to Adam Lambert and Nick Mitchell and the former wraps up the three finalists line-up.

Thus far, the six contestants in the Top 12 are Alexis Grace, Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, and Adam Lambert.
