The not yet titled 'NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service' spin-off will have rapper LL Cool J starring as one of its experts.

AceShowbiz - The status of LL Cool J in the spin-off to "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" has been upgraded. If previously he was in talks to nab the role of Sam Hannah, it has now been confirmed that he has secured the part.
Hannah is described as tough but charming former U.S. Navy Seal and is "an expert on the Middle East." The pilot to the spin-off will air as one half of a two-part episode of "NCIS" later this season. Behind the new series which is yet to have a title is "NCIS" scribe Shane Brennan.
LL's name was linked to the "NCIS" role earlier this month when reports were sprouting on the spin-off development. Another actor that was also in talks is Chris O'Donnell who is eyed for the role as an ordinary guy born to do undercover named Callen.
