Two of 'Grey's Anatomy' stars will leave the show in order to pursue other options as confirmed by a co-star.

AceShowbiz - The exit of Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight from "Grey's Anatomy" has been the case of 'are they or aren't they', and the latest report is weighing on 'they are'. Both actors who play major roles in the show will take off their uniforms, as confirmed by one of their co-stars.

During a February 7 luncheon at the NAACP Image Awards in Beverly Hills, James Pickens Jr. who is playing Dr. Richard Webber spilled that Heigl is leaving for good. "Yes, she is," he answered to the burning question. "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best." Allegedly the reason Heigl makes her way out is to move on "to the next chapter".

While on the hook, the question about Knight's departure was also thrown. "He's going too," Pickens continued. "He just wanted to pursue other career paths." A source said that the actor thinks his presence on the set brings down the energy and he "complains to Katherine all the time". Producers are reportedly thinking ways to write Knight's George O'Malley out of the script.

Since an actor's statement is not included as an official one, therefore it is not yet confirmed until a rep from the show or the actors come out to give an announcement.
