Director McG Talks Arnold Schwarzenegger's Cameo in 'Terminator Salvation'

Remaining coy on whether or not Linda Hamilton will be involved in 'Terminator Salvation', director McG teases that he is working on making Arnold Schwarzenegger's physics like in the first two films.

Interesting tidbits about the highly anticipated "" have been brought forward by director McG. During the Q&A session for the sci-fi action movie at the 4th annual New York Comic-Con, the 40-year-old filmmaker gave his time to discuss about the talked-about possible cameo of and the possibility of 's involvement in the project.

About the Schwarzenegger's part, the man behind the modern feature film installments of "Charlie's Angels" hinted that the California Governor is most likely making an appearance in the film. "I don't want today's Arnold Schwarzenegger," McG shared his hope, revealing further that he would like to have the Schwarzenegger seen in the two first films, "I want the idealized, Griffith Park, Bill Paxton, tire-track-on-the-face archetype and we'll see what we can do about that."

When asked about Sarah Connor's appearance in the movie and the Hamilton's rumor, the director remained coy. "Perhaps by not answering your question, there's a small answer within," he said then adding that the movie is about that fundamental triangle developed in the first two movies, and as one leg of that triangle, Sarah Connor would play an important role in the picture.

The Q&A session also helped to unravel bit of the movie's spoilers, one of which put out that the film will follow the timeline of "" for the Judgement Day. Nonetheless, the movie won't reach the year John Connor supposedly dies, the 2033. "Terminator Salvation" also won't be following any continuity from "Terminator" television series, "".

Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, "Terminator Salvation" is the fourth feature film installment in the "Terminator" franchise. It follows a stranger whose past could not be justified, Marcus Wright, as he joins John Connor, the man whose fate is to lead the resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators.

The McG-directed sci-fi action thriller stars and as John Connor and Marcus Wright respectively and will see , , , and among the cast. With the music being provided by Danny Elfman, the Warner Bros. movie itself is slated to be released in the U.S. on May 22.
