In a brand new featurette, Isla Fisher, director P.J. Hogan, stylist Patricia Field and others talk over the fashion of 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'.

AceShowbiz - MTV has got its hands on an exclusive featurette of "Confessions of a Shopaholic" where in cast and crew open up about one important part in the making of the film, the fashion. In the two-minute video footage, those involved in the romantic comedy movie discuss many issues from Rebecca Bloomwood's original style to the stores that become the shooting locations.
Opening the featurette, the film's star Isla Fisher gushes, "New York is literally the fashion capital of the world and there are so many brilliant stores." Later, she reveals her vision for her character, Rebecca Bloomwood, saying "I wanted Becky to be adventurous and bright and colorful but at the same time high fashion."
Aside from Fisher, stylist Patricia Field, who is known for her work in TV series and feature film, "Sex and the City", says that Bloomwood's style is "just a little eclectic mix of something cute, something designer". She further adds, "It was an opportunity for me to create a different look for people to see that they haven't really seen before. It's fashion-forward but also a little exaggeration for this extreme character who can't stop shopping."
On the shooting locations, director P.J. Hogan and producer Jerry Bruckheimer state that they take advantage of New York City. While Hogan claims that some of the shooting take place in "Bendel's, Catherine Malandrino's, Barney's", Bruckheimer boasts that they also filmed inside Prada, making them the first one to be able to shoot inside the store.
Based on the best-selling series of books by British author Sophie Kinsella, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" sees Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy, Joan Cusack, Krysten Ritter and John Goodman in the cast ensemble. The movie about a shopaholic who is determined to turn her life around after being entangled in major debts is due for U.S. release on February 13.
