Production of 'Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn' Began, Jamie Bell and Daniel Craig Aboard

Paramount and Sony have kicked off the principal photography of 'The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn' with Jamie Bell and Daniel Craig starring as Tintin and Red Rackham respectively.

AceShowbiz - Steven Spielberg's motion-capture 3-D feature, "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn", has finally moved forward. Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced that the first of possible three "Tintin" installments has begun its principal photography in Los Angeles on Monday, January 26.

Along with the start of production announcement, it was also revealed that Jamie Bell and Daniel Craig have joined the star-studded voice cast ensemble. Having worked together in the Edward Zwick-directed war movie "Defiance", the two will be co-stars once again as Bell is set to voice the titular character, young reporter Tintin, and Craig will lend his voice to evil pirate Red Rackham.

Based on the character created in 1929 by Herge a.k.a. Georges Remi, "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn" is being produced by Steven Spielberg who also serves as its director, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy for 2011 release. Aside from Jamie Bell and Daniel Craig, it will also have Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook in the voice cast. Its screenplay was written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish.
