Coming from the hands of Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, the new comedy starring Amy Poehler will premiere in April.

AceShowbiz - Finally, the untitled Amy Poehler's project is given a working title. "Public Service", the new sitcom coming from the creators of "The Office" and "Saturday Night Live", will premiere April 9 at 8.30/7.30c on NBC.

The show was supposed to be effective after Super Bowl XLIII on February 1 but Poehler got pregnant and delivered her baby in October last year, which require her to adjust. In the show which is also starring Aziz Ansari and Rashida Jones of "The Office", Poehler will be a mid-level government official named Leslie Knope.

"What I'm looking forward to in this new show is finding the smaller moments," Poehler said. "I'm really looking forward to playing a character that I can settle in with and kind of turn the volume down a little bit and get really specific and really real and allow myself to be an actor a little bit more. I really like this character. She's really distinctive and funny and disillusioned and all those things that make a comic-tragic lead character."
