List of 29th Annual Razzie Awards Nominees

'Disaster Movie' comes out as the leader of the 29th Annual Razzie Awards nominees with six nods, followed by 'The Hottie and the Nottie' and 'The Love Guru' among others.

On Wednesday, January 21, a day before Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveil their nominees for the 81st Annual Academy Awards, Golden Raspberry Award Foundation have come out with their selection of contenders for the 29th Annual Razzie Awards. Among the nominees, "" seems to be the awards early favorite as it was given six gongs, including Worst Picture.

Collecting also Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel, Worst Director(s) and Worst Screenplay, the Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer's comedy was nominated alongside "", "", "", "" and "" in the Worst Picture category. Beside those counts, it also nabbed two Worst Supporting Actress nods for and .

Following close behind "Disaster Movie" with five gongs each were "The Hottie and the Nottie", "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale", "The Love Guru" and "Meet the Spartans". Other movies up for the dis-honor include "", "" and "". The latest received two nominations for its leading actor for Worst Actor and Worst Screen Couple.

Created by John Wilson in 1980, Razzie Awards or known also as The Golden Raspberry Awards was intended to counterpoint the Academy Awards by honoring the worst acting, screenwriting, songwriting, directing, and films. The 'winners' of the 29th Annual Razzie Awards will be announced at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, February 21, the eve of the 81st Academy Awards.
