What to Expect From 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D', Promo Video Included

After the special screening for 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D', Wes Craven shares that this slasher film has so many great moments of suspense, and others hail it as 'best 3-D ever'.

AceShowbiz - While "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" is yet to open wide in U.S. at least until this Friday, January 16, rave reviews have flooded in from those who have the chance to catch a special screening of the horror thriller remake last week. Compiled in one promo video which also includes footage from the movie, the reviews came from Brad Miska of Bloody-Disgusting to horror films' creator Wes Craven.

Promoted to be the best date movie, this 3-D remake to the 1981 low-budget Canadian slasher movie surely did left great impressions to some. Bloody-Disgusting's Brad Miska stated, "It's one of the best time I've had in theaters in a long time." Wes Craven, who gushed that the movie gives out so many great moments of suspense, sounded similar remark, saying he had lot of fun watching it. Staci Layne Wilson of Horror.com added that it is definitely a thrill ride as it is "scary, gory" and shows lots of obligatory naked chicks.

Aside from the promo video, several clips and trailers, previewing the unleashed terror of the pickaxe slasher have been making their rounds. All of the videos can be watched on "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" Trailer Page.

Taking the story of Valentine's Day Massacre stemming from a tragedy that happened 10 years before, "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" follows Tom Hanniger, the man who triggers the occurrence of the tragedy, as he returns to the town of Harmony. Still haunted by the deaths he caused and struggling to make amends with his past, he deals with his unresolved feelings for Sarah, an ex-girlfriend who is now married to his best friend, town sheriff Axel.

But after years of peace, something from Harmony's dark past has returned. Wearing a miner's mask and armed with a pickaxe, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. And as his footsteps come closer, Tom, Sarah and Axel realize in terror that the man behind the mask might just be the Valentine's Day killer, Harry Warden, who has come back to claim them.

Starring Jensen Ackles, Jaime King and Kerr Smith as Tom, Sarah and Axel respectively, the horror thriller is also supported by Edi Gathegi, Tom Atkins and Megan Boone among others. To be distributed by Lionsgate Films, it is directed by Patrick Lussier and penned by Zane Smith.
