Music

After claiming their fame in U.S. with their self-titled debut album, Metro Station head up to U.K. for a roadshow with Boys Like Girls.

AceShowbiz - Meeting for the first time on "Hannah Montana" set, Mason Musso and Trace Cyrus decided to form band Metro Station. With two other members Blake Healy and Anthony Improgo, they dropped their self-titled debut album on September 18, 2007 under Columbia/Ink Red Records with all the band's members contributing on songwriting desk.

"Shake It", the third single from their debut effort, has been a huge success. It reached number 10 on Billboard Hot 100, becoming their first single to enter the U.S. singles chart. Certified gold by RIAA in June 2008 for selling more than 500,000 copies, it was also featured as one of "The House Bunny" soundtracks.

Gaining success across U.S. is apparently not enough for them as this pop rock band plan to invade U.K. by performing on a series of tour dates. Along with Boys Like Girls, they will kick off the gigs on January 24 at Glasgow's Garage. Before that, they will be making a live appearance at a free concert in Los Angeles' Knitting Factory on January 21.

After touring with Boys Like Girls, they will head up to Australia, singing in such venues as Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and many others. They are scheduled to wrap up the gigs on March 7 at Town Hall in Dunedin, Otago. Full details of their tour can be obtained via their MySpace.
