Video: Lil Wayne's Voice Over in Gatorade Ad

Lil Wayne has lent his voice for the new commercial of sports drink Gatorade that also features a string of sports figures.

AceShowbiz - Spotted contributing among the sportsmen tapped to promote Gatorade in a TV ad is Lil Wayne. The rapper did a voice over to the sports drink ad, describing of what "G" represents. "[G's] the emblem of a warrior, it's the swagger of an athlete, a champion and dynasty," Wayne said.

He continued, "It's gifted, golden, genuine and glorious. It is a lower-case god. It's the goat. Ha-ha. The greatest of all time." His voice-over is played on top of a stream of sports figures such as Dwyane Wade, Serena Williams, Bill Russell, Yankee's Derek Jeter and Muhammad Ali. Wrapping up the ad, Wayne said, "What's G? It is the heart, hustle and soul of the game. That's G."

Gatorade has redesigned the packaging for its electrolyte drink, renamed some of its products and used "G" as the campaign. "Just like any good athlete, Gatorade is taking it to the next level," said Sarah Robb O'Hagan, chief marketing officer for Gatorade. "Whether you're in it for the win, for the thrill or for better health, if your body is moving, Gatorade sees you as an athlete, and we're inviting you into the brand."
