Actress Rosario Dawson confirms her return to the sequel of 'Sin City', and unveils the plans for the start of production as well.

AceShowbiz - The sequel of "Sin City" could fall into production in Spring 2009. While doing the publicity for her upcoming drama "Seven Pounds", Rosario Dawson let out confirmation to IESB that the script of "Sin City 2" has been completed and the production is eyed to be kicked off sometime in April 2009.

What the 29-year-old suggested was similar to those said by director/screenwriter Frank Miller earlier. "Sin City 2 is written," Miller told IGN on December 4 at "The Spirit" junket. "It's mainly a matter of working out the details of the production. I'm hoping to do it with Robert Rodriguez again in the same circumstances that we did the first one, and we could be shooting as soon as April."

Beside revealing the potential start date for this sequel, the co-star of Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan in "Eagle Eye" also confessed that she will once again take the role of Gail, a prostitute, dominatrix and one of the authority figures of Old Town in the "Sin City" movie.

"Sin City 2" is said to be adapted from Frank Miller's "A Dame to Kill For". It offers the early story of Dwight McCarthy when Ava Lord, his former lover, returns to his life with a dark intention forcing him to face all sorts of problems. In "Sin City", McCarthy character was depicted by Clive Owen who will return to reprise the role.

Aside from Owen and Rosario Dawson, other stars coming back to the sequel include Jessica Alba, Brittany Murphy, Mickey Rourke and Michael Clarke Duncan. Expected to be finished for 2010 release, the sequel is co-directed, co-produced and co-written by Miller and Robert Rodriguez.
