While 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' soundtrack won't be coming out until December 16, two of the Alexandre Desplat's tracks have been streamed.

AceShowbiz - In anticipation of the Christmas Day release of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", Concord Records have announced the release date of the movie's original soundtrack. Through a press release on Wednesday, December 3, the record label let out that the soundtrack will be available in U.S. stores on Tuesday, December 16.
Exploring the life of someone who is born an old man and ages backwards, the album consists of two discs. The first disc contains 23 original scores composed, conducted and produced by awards-winning composer Alexandre Desplat, while the second one contains 19 songs from the movie from the one titled "My Name is Benjamin" to Louis Armstrong's "Dear Old Southland". About the original score, Desplat explains, "All the people Benjamin meets he loses quickly as they age and die while he gets younger. Because a continuous love relationship with anyone cannot work, his life is composed of heartbreaking flashes of connection. The music has to express the movement of going inexorably forward but still backwards, and the melancholia that is the essence of Benjamin's character." Following the titular character as he travels the world meeting people along the way, finding love and losing it, and learning about the joys of life, the sadness of death and what lasts beyond time, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" itself is a David Fincher-directed drama. It stars Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button, and is supported by Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Julia Ormond and Elle Fanning. It will come out in U.S. theaters on December 25.
