'Beverly Hills Cop IV' Possible Story Details Come Out

Reportedly titled 'Beverly Hills Cop 2009', the fourth installment of 'Beverly Hills Cop' will tell the story of Billy Rosewood's murder investigation by Axel Foley.

Upon hearing that his former partner has died and believing that it is not a suicide, Axel flies to Beverly Hills to get the right facts. For the case, Axel gets a new partner, a fat rookie named Goodwin with low self-esteem who has a crush on "a lady cop in the facial recognition department". Reportedly titled "Beverly Hills Cop 2009", this new "Beverly Hills Cop" film allegedly is planned to be starting its production in 2009 to get a summer 2010 release. It will be produced by "Transformers 2" producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and directed by Brett Ratner. Additionally, Michael Brandt and Derek Haas have been signed as the script writers earlier.

Regarding the original "Beverly Hills Cop" movie, it was originally starred by Eddie Murphy. Released on December 5, 1984, it has collected $316 million worldwide. The second movie got out on May 20, 1987 grossing in total $300 million, whereas the third came out on May 25, 1994 and pulled in $119.2 million worldwide.
