Rumor has it, the teaser trailer of James Cameron's 'Avatar' is coming up in December and it may likely to be attached to 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'.

AceShowbiz - "Avatar" teaser trailer may come out sooner than expected. According to MarketSaw, director James Cameron will have a teaser video for his upcoming action thriller ready for early December release, with the possibility of it being shown before "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

While MarketSaw note that they are yet certain whether the teaser will indeed be attached to the Scott Derrickson-directed sci-fi remake, they reveal that the actual running time of the footage will be 2 minutes and 15 seconds long. If the promotional video for "Avatar" is indeed coming out with "Day the Earth Stood Still", it will be screened in theaters along with "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" trailer.

Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez among others, "Avatar" is a 3-D action sci-fi thriller about a paralyzed ex-marine named Jake Sully who unwillingly undergoes an experiment to be an avatar, a combination between alien and human. It is expected to hit U.S. theaters on December 18, 2009.
