Justin Theroux, the writer appointed for penning 'Iron Man 2' script, reveals that he has yet to have discussion with other Marvel movies' writers.

AceShowbiz - With Marvel planning on putting together some of its superheroes in one movie, "The Avengers", many wonder whether the writers for the individual superhero films, including "Iron Man 2", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and "Thor", have started a discussion to make all the story connected. "Iron Man 2" screenwriter Justin Theroux has revealed to MTV News that they have yet to open any talks regarding the matter.
"You know, there's NO dialogue right now - in a great way," the "Tropic Thunder" co-scripter shared, adding, "I think [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige just wants to make sure we can make the best movie that we can make." He further added that the studio have yet to force him to make the stories connected. He insisted, "No, not yet. But that being said, Kevin is in all the meetings for all the movies, and is the sort of connective tissue - the neurons if you will - running between the meetings. Making sure all the things can be connected."
"But they haven't burdened us with that yet. We've obviously kept an ear out for it, and we're looking for ways to write that don't bump [heads]. Once we sort of get to a more stable place at that point, we'll see where to go from there. It's not like someone holding the back of our necks saying, 'Don't forget, you got to write about so and so'. It's just making sure we get our story straight and great and then once that happens then we'll be able to take in other obligations."
"The Avengers" has yet to have any director attached to it. Still, it has been confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Iron Man in this movie, while Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard as Lt. Col James Rhodes. The movie that teams up the superhero team of Marvel Comics characters, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk and more, is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on July 15, 2011. In the meantime, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have been set to pen "The First Avenger: Captain America", and Mark Protosevich will write for "Thor".
