Feeling lonely, Kanye West says he wants to start a family soon, but has yet to find the perfect match.

AceShowbiz - Hip-hop artist Kanye West opened his heart and shared his feeling to the press, saying he's feeling lonely since the death of his mother Donda West last year. He, thus, wants to start a family soon, but finding it hard to find the perfect match.

Attending a London listening party for his new album "808's & Heartbreak" Tuesday, November 11, Kanye told reporters, "It's lonely at the top." He then explained, "Losing my mom, having no woman in my life to support me - I feel like I'm on my own and can only express it through my music."

Fortunately, Kanye has supportive friends who helped him going through difficult times. He credited several fellow music stars who lent a helping hand when he was "depressed, down," stating "I ran into Beyonce Knowles, Paul McCartney, [at the MTV Europe Music Awards and] I felt comfortable. Rejuvenated."

Opening up about his family plans, Kanye revealed, "I want to have kids. But I want to have the right girl too - someone who really cares about me. When I'm in a club, girls are super-calculating, planning every step." Nevertheless, he ensured that he's fine, telling people not to "feel sorry for" him. "I just did a shoot for Louis Vuitton. Don't worry about me, I'll be okay in the end," he added.

Kanye's mother, Donda, died of cosmetic surgical complications on November 10 last year. She was 58. Kanye himself broke up from his longtime fiancee, model Alexis Phifer, in April 2008.
