Celebrity

The youngest in Jonas Brothers took time taping a video message on how youths like him who are diagnosed with diabetes can get help.

AceShowbiz - The PSA for diabetes by Nick Jonas has been premiered on Sunday, November 2 on Disney Channel. Considered as an apt ambassador, being diagnosed with diabetes type 1 himself in 2005, the member of Jonas Brothers taped the video in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The video message that was aired following an episode of "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream" shows the 16-year-old talking about his own condition, and how people around his age can get help through calling a phone line. "If you have a diabetes, you're not alone," Nick says. "You can learn more and help by calling Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at 800-533-CURE. Stay informed and stay in control."

Nick's PSA is in line to National Diabetes Awareness Month at JDRF. Earlier this week, he kicked off the event at Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium where he meets four diabetes-diagnosed fans of him who won a sweepstakes by Bayer Diabetes Care. Called "Walk In Nick's Shoes" (W.I.N.S.), the sweepstakes is to provide young people and their families with the motivation and support they need to help simplify life with diabetes.
