On other "Half-Blood Prince" news, producer David Heyman finally spoke up about Warner Bros.' decision on delaying the movie. To Coming Soon, he explained, "I would love the film to come out in November; we would have been ready, but the fact is partly because of the writers strike and for whatever reason, Warners didn't have any movies next summer."

"They had Batman this year which was bigger than they ever thought it would be, so they came to me, and they said, 'David, we want to move it.' Warners has been really good to us. They've given us lots of money and lots of independence...They've been so supportive that one has to support... they needed it. It's a film business." The rest of Heyman's statement can be read at Coming Soon.

Coming out on July 17, 2009 in the U.S., "Half-Blood Prince" will present the fans of J.K. Rowling's novel adaptation with the dark past of Voldemort, revealing the time he spends on an orphanage before Dumbledore takes him to Hogwarts. The Warner Bros. feature film is directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon and many others.
