Brad Pitt's Lieutenant Aldo Raine of 'Inglourious Basterds' Exposed

The Hollywood actor is caught in camera donning the resistance fighter gear which gives out the first look into the leader of the Basterds.

AceShowbiz - An on-set picture from "Inglourious Basterds" has come out. The image presents for the first time Brad Pitt as the head honcho Basterd, Lieutenant Aldo Raine. Wearing a full resistance fighter gear, Pitt whose character is said to be a Tennessee mountain hillbilly, can be seen having a large scar on his neck.

Earlier this week, The Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures have come out with confirmation that the misspelling of "Basterds" in the title is indeed intentionally made. Hence, instead of "Bastards", from now on the Quentin Tarantino's film will be known as "Basterds". However, there is no further explanation on the reason for the using of the misspell.

To deliver an intertwined story, "Basterds" focuses its tale on a group of Jewish soldiers set out to bring down the leaders of The Third Reich by blowing up a Parisian theaters that premieres a Nazi propaganda film. At the same time, the flick also follows a French Jewish teenager who plots for a revenge on the Nazi at the same theater.

Starring also Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, Christoph Waltz, B.J. Novak, Michael Fassbender and many others, the flick is directed, co-produced and penned by Tarantino. The World War II flick is currently undergoing its production in Germany for 2009 release.
