Leona Lewis collected two prizes for her debut album 'Spirit' and her hit single 'Bleeding Love' at 2008 MOBO Awards.

AceShowbiz - Leona Lewis' debut album "Spirit" has been named as "Best Album" at this year's Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. Announced on Wednesday, October 15, Lewis has also scooped the honor of "Best Video" for her worldwide smash hit "Bleeding Love".

However, at the night of the ceremony, Lewis was booed by the crowd for not attending the show to collect her trophies. Lewis gave an acceptance speech by video saying, "Thank you so much. I'm so sorry I can't be here with you tonight... I'm there in spirit with you all."

Joining Lewis as an artist who picked up two trophies at the event was Estelle. The 28-year-old R&B musician grabbed prizes for "Best UK Female" and "Best Song" for her hit "American Boy" off her second studio effort "Shine".

Another winner who walked away with two gongs include Chris Brown, who won "Best International Act" and "Best R&B/Soul". Meanwhile, Mary Wilson, a former member of The Supremes, collected a lifetime achievement award on behalf of Motown Records and Lil Wayne took home a MOBO trophy for winning in the category of "Best Hip Hop".
