Taylor Swifts Finds Voting 'Cool and Empowering'

The country singer told Redbook magazine registering to vote was the first thing she did on her 18th birthday last December and she has since felt the responsibility that she never felt before.

Catching the fever of the forthcoming U.S. presidential election, shares her feeling about getting involved in the political affair, claiming her first experience to vote on the upcoming November 4 event as "cool and empowering." To Redbook magazine she admitted, "I felt this responsibility that I've never felt before - I actually had a say in the political discussions of my country."

Recalling the day she registered to vote, the country singing sensation claimed she did it on her 18th birthday. "The first thing I did this year on my 18th birthday was register to vote," Swift tells Redbook magazine. "I was still in my pajamas and I got on my computer and registered."

Swift, who turned 18 years old on December 13 last year, appears on the cover of Redbook magazine's upcoming issue. She covers the publication alongside senior music stars and .

On Sunday, October 12, Swift was photographed attending the 18th Annual Chicago Country Music Festival, held at the Soldier Field Parkland. Besides performing on-stage, she also took time to strike some poses with awaiting fans.
