Michael Dougherty, the writer and director of 'Trick 'r Treat', has blown up idea to make a follow-up of the Warner Bros. Pictures horror.

AceShowbiz - During a chat with Bloody-Disgusting reporter at Screamfest Horror Film Festival, which held the world premiere screening of Michael Dougherty's highly-expected "Trick 'r Treat", Dougherty has revealed one interesting tidbit. He finally comes to an idea of making "Trick 'r Treat" a sequel.

Talking about the ideas of the second flick, he merely asserts that it will be happening in the future. He also notes that it may take place in another location which is enriched with local myths, such as Louisiana. Dougherty also expressed vividly that he has thought about bringing 'school bus' kids back; however, he argues that since the kids will have to go through their puberty, it will be weird.

"Trick 'r Treat" is an anthology film of five Halloween-related scary stories. All the stories are connected to each other and they follow a suburban couple, a principal with a serial killer attitude, a young woman dressed as little red riding hood, a group of pranksters and a cantankerous old hermit when they each experience how scary a Halloween can be.

About the "Trick 'r Treat" itself, Dougherty has been chosen to write and direct the flick which will be released sometime in 2008. Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, and Leslie Bibb have all agreed to take part in this collaborative horror project of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.
