AceShowbiz - Becoming a mother has affected Nicole Richie positively that she is willing to put aside her celebrity-socialite status to make homemade food for her baby daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden. In an interview with People magazine, she talks about the kind of food she makes for her infant.

"Her first food was sweet potatoes and she loved it," Nicole revealed. She went on revealing that she also "purees steamed vegetables" and "mashes up everything from apples to green beans and bananas" for Harlow. "She ate the whole thing and it was all over the place - in her hair, on her nose, everywhere!" she added.

The celebrity mother went on dishing, "Food tastes better coming from your Mom because it's made with love" yet humbly adding, "I'm not domestic at all. I can't cook, I don't clean." However, that doesn't stop her beau Joel Madden from supporting her effort. "We talk about it all the time," the Good Charlotte frontman said when referring to Nicole's homemade cook. "It's an energy thing. I know exactly what's going into [Harlow's] body."

Nicole gave birth to Harlow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on January 11, 2008. The little girl is her first child with Joel, whom she's been dating since December 2006.
