She gets a phone call from the church and is offered to try its Narconon drugs program, which is claimed to have helped hundreds of people kick their drugs habits.

AceShowbiz - New report has just surfaced that troubled singer Amy Winehouse is considering a switch to controversial religion Scientology in a bid to kick her drugs habit and get her life back on the right track. British tabloid the Daily Mirror reported the church of Scientology is reaching out to her, urging her to try its Narconon drugs program, which it claims has helped hundreds of people kick the habit.

"She had a call from the celebrity branch of the Church Of Scientology. She thinks they got her number through one of the American music producers who worked on her 'Back to Black' album", a source close to Amy informed the Daily Mirror. "They told her they wanted to help her beat drugs and could tailor-make a program so she wouldn't have to go to a residential center. She liked that idea because her husband Blake is out of prison soon and wouldn't want to be away from him when he's finally freed."

For the time being, Amy is said to be considering the option seriously and should she give it an okay she will have to visit the church's U.K. rehab base in Hastings, E Sussex. There she will have to undergo treatment that is divided into three different stages; vitamin cocktails consumption, a series of saunas and a "detox diet", with the last one is reading a series of Scientology self-help books.

The church of Scientology has already had celebrity devotees, like John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, and Tom Cruise among its high-profile followers. It was last reported that singer Pink has also converted to it in a bid to find comfort after her failed marriage with hubby Carey Hart.
