'Twilight' Takes Part at Third Intl. Rome Film Festival

The screening of its fifteen minutes footage is a part of the vampire romance's world premiere event that will also preview the backstage footage.

Fifteen minutes of the highly-anticipated "" will indeed be premiered at the International Rome Film Festival. Summit Entertainment have recently confirmed about the screening of the vampire romance flick to MTV News though do not go further by sharing out the exact date for the screening.

About the special screening for the Catherine Hardwicke-directed film, the festival's official site noted that it is part of "Twilight" world premiere event which will also preview the backstage footage. The special occasion will also include "public encounter" with Hardwicke and the film's stars. To top it off, Stephenie Meyer is going to read passages from her new novel "Breaking Dawn".

The third International Rome Film Festival will be held from October 22 to 31. The official selection of the festival for both in and out of competition include Saul Dibb's drama starring and , "", Gavin O'Connor's "", Stephan Elliott's "" and Kenny Ortega's "".

A modern day love story between a vampire and a human, "Twilight" resolves around seventeen-year-old Isabella 'Bella' Swan, her mysterious vampire classmate, Edward Cullen, and their unlikely romantic relationship. Finding acceptance from one another, their romance blossoms. However, it puts Bella's life in grave danger as Cullen's nemesis comes to the town and sets his eyes on Bella.

Adapted from Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel of the same name, it features the likes of , , , Edi Gathegi, and many others. The Melissa Rosenberg-scripted movie is set to blast off in the big screen on November 21, taking the slot left by "".
