The sixth installment will have longer 3-D sequences compared to the last one, 'Order of the Phoenix'.

AceShowbiz - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" may be pushed back for more than half year, but it will have its compensation through the inclusion of 3-D IMAX sequences. ComingSoon.net reports that IMAX Corporation will add the 3-D sequences in the sixth installment for 25 minutes worth of duration.

During 2008 Q2 Earnings Report last month, the Co-Chairman of IMAX Co, Rich Gelfond shared out, "We believe this film will include approximately 25 minutes in IMAX 3-D split between the opening sequence of the film and the finale." This is an upgrade from the last installment of the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" that presented a total of 17 minutes of 3-D sequences.

"Half-Blood Prince" will come out in both IMAX and conventional theaters on July 17, 2009.

Meanwhile, several photos and stills from the film have been let out through UniversHarryPotter.com, taken from a German calendar. They show among others more looks into Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Draco and Slughorn, as well as first pictures of George Weasley, Cormac McLaggen, Marcus Belby, Romilda Vane, Sanguini the vampire and Blaise Zabini. Some of them can be seen below, while others can be viewed via Snitch Seeker.
