Zac Efron Refuses to Build Career in Music Industry

Saying that he has nothing to impress music lovers, Zac Efron refuses to embark on a solo career as a singer.

AceShowbiz - Actor Zac Efron says that he will not try his hands at the music industry. "Never," he says when asked if he considers to be a solo singer by releasing a debut album. In a further explanation, Zac reveals his reluctance saying, "I don't think I could contribute something to the industry that wouldn't be something you've seen before."

Zac became popular among young audiences after he appeared in 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical". He teams up with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens and Drew Seeley in a single, called "Start of Something New" for the TV movie.

Following the movie's huge success, he has been involved in the two of the television film sequel as well as lent his vocal in the movie soundtrack. In the sequel of the Disney's TV movie, "High School Musical 2", he sings several songs, including "Work This Out" and "You Are the Music in Me". Meanwhile, in the latest sequel, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", he teams up again with Vanessa in single, "Right Here, Right Now".

Most recently, Zac has been booked out by New Line Cinema to star in a comedy film "Seventeen Again". Slated to arrive in theaters next year on April 17, the movie mainly talks about an unhappy businessman who wishes to go back to his past in order to correct all his mistakes.
