NBC Confirmed Oprah Winfrey's Guest Stint on '30 Rock'

NBC has confirmed her guest stint on an upcoming episode of "30 Rock" and she already filmed scenes for her part at the Silvercup Studios in Queens, N.Y. last Saturday, September 13.

AceShowbiz - It's official, Oprah Winfrey's much reported guest stint on NBC's "30 Rock" will come to fruition as the network has confirmed on Thursday, September 18 that she will make a guest starring role on an upcoming episode. She even has filmed her scenes for the comedy series last Saturday, September 13 at the Silvercup Studios in Queens, N.Y.

Earlier this month, report emerged that Oprah has been in final negotiation to make a guest starring role on "30 Rock". She was claimed to be close to signing a deal to appear on the hit TV series and will be billed to play herself in scenes opposite the series' regular, actress Tina Fey.

And while it has been confirmed that Oprah will make a guest starring role on the series, there have yet words about the role she will portray. Fey, who's the creator, executive producer and star of "30 Rock," simply expressed her gladness to have the talk show host among the cast, saying "Oprah is very funny in the episode, and we are beyond grateful to have her. Also, I would like to announce that we are officially best friends."

Teri Weinberg, Executive Vice President, NBC Entertainment, added "Oprah Winfrey's presence on '30 Rock' makes this episode a television event. She is a true legend in her own time, and in this comedy's tradition, it provides the perfect showcase for stars of her renowned status. We are all thrilled."

The upcoming episode of "30 Rock" which features Oprah's guest stint will be screened on November 6 in the U.S. at 9:30 ET/PT.
