Brangelina Ranked 9th in Vanity Fair's 100 Most Influential List

Being ranked 9th on the annual list, they best fellow Hollywood celebrities like George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and Robert De Niro, all of whom are also considered as "Most Influential."

AceShowbiz - The annual Vanity Fair's "100 Most Influential" list has been released and it surprisingly includes Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, both of whom are ranked the 9th. They join such luminaries, as former Vice President Al Gore and Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the top 10 of the rankings of the magazine's so-called "New Establishment."

People from different field of jobs, ranging from politicians to film director, are making the list. Winning the No. 1 spot on the list is Russian prime minister and former president Vladimir Putin, who's credited by Vanity Fair to have helped Russia "rebuild its military, restore its pride, and re-assert its place in world affairs."

Among the list's actors are Tom Hanks who is at number 34, Brangelina's best friend George Clooney who's ranked 55th, and two-time Academy Award winning actor Robert De Niro who is at number 59. Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey also lands a spot on the list, at No. 43. She bests some other TV figures, like Comedy Central funnymen John Stewart and Stephen Cobert, both of whom are at No. 44 and 45 in a row.

Besides them all, there are also a few musicians on the list, including rap star Jay-Z who secures the 59th spot and singer Jimmy Buffett who makes the cut at No. 97. Bono and Mick Jagger are also considered "Most Influential" in Vanity Fair's 2008 "100 Most Influential List".
