The actor picked up his guitar with his high school band to celebrate Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion and benefit a charity foundation.

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp started off as a musician and he apparently never abandoned the passion. The actor who is famous for his portrayal of Captain Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, picked up his guitar one more time and took the stage to hold a charity concert for the second Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion.
The monumental event that was held starting from Friday, August 29 over the course of two days, reunited Depp and his high school band mates The Kids in Florida. Depp who was dressed in ripped tee and jeans, played the band's old hits such as "Can't Believe", "Time to Explain", and "Babe" during a 90-minute play set.
Depp's long-time partner Vanessa Paradis who is a singer, and their daughter Lily Rose were seen in attendance, sitting among a crowd counting at roughly 2,500. Other acts taking the stage for the fund-raising event were South Florida's bands of the '70s and '80s such as Tight Squeeze and Slyder.
Depp formed the pop-rock band when he was at high school in Miramar, Florida and enjoyed modest local success with them. He moved to Los Angeles with them in a bid to find a recording deal but they split before getting one. Depp was then encouraged by Nicolas Cage to pursue acting career.
The Sheila Witkin Memorial Concert was held in honor of The Kids' late manager who was a popular figure in South Florida. The tickets sale benefit Dan Marino Foundation that aids children in need and also the Sheila Witkin Foundation. They also reunited for the same event in January last year.
