Staind's brand new 'Illusion of Progress' LP is charting at number three on billboard Hot 200 Chart, just behind Jonas Brother's 'A Little Bit Longer' and Kid Rock's 'Rock N Roll Jesus'.

AceShowbiz - Staind's sixth major studio album "Illusion of Progress" from Flip/Atlantic Records, makes its debut on Billboard 200 Chart with around 91,800 units on sale. The album which has just been released on August 19, rockets onto hot number three in the chart, just behind Jonas Brothers' "A Little Bit Longer", which scans another 146,700 copies, and Kid Rock's "Rock N Roll Jesus", which sits at number two with 100,900 sold.

The "Illusion of Progress" is a follow-up for the band's 2005 platinum-certified effort "Chapter V", which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart in the second week after its release date. Their achievement has made the band to join an elite shortlist of five other modern rock artists who have also accomplished the same chart history, including U2, Dave Matthews Band, System of a Down, Van Halen, and Disturbed.

The Johnny K-produced album is described as the "most musical CD". The band's lead vocalist Aaron Lewis says, "We went into the studio with the mindset of making our heaviest record yet, but the record that came out has flavors of Pink Floyd and straight-up blues. We didn't use the same rigs that we use onstage; we used all vintage guitars and amps, and I'm pretty psyched about it! The songs are pretty timeless in their texture."

The Massachusetts-based group is now on the road for a worldwide summer tour. The gig will then be followed by a European concert with Nickelback in September, and several headlining dates with special guests Seether and Papa Roach. Detailed schedule and tickets for the show can be found on their official website where fans can also check for a series of intimate behind-the-scenes for their recording process.

Returning to the Billboard chart, "Mamma Mia!" soundtrack, which features ABBA falls two spots to number two with 87,500 sold and then followed by Ice Cube's latest set, "Raw Footage", which sold 69,800 units during its first week in stores. Miley Cyrus' "Breakout" lingers at number six with 61,600 sold, while Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" drops one spot to number seven with 56,800 scanned.

Furthermore, Sugarland's "Love on the Inside" survives at number eight with 56,300 copies, and coming in at number nine with 47,200 sold, is the "Camp Rock" soundtrack which, coincidentally, includes a number of tracks by the Jonas boys. Lastly, Shwayze puts his self-titled debut at number ten with 46,600 copies.
