A bunch of new on-set photos from 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' has unearthed that the Long Beach area has been turned to be a Chinese city with Optimus Prime riding one of the streets.

AceShowbiz - After the on-set photos of badly burned Shia LaBeouf were outed few days back, a slew of other on-set images from the filming location of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is also coming out. Exposing the sequel's set in Long Beach area as well as the shooting in progress, the images showcase how the streets have been transformed into a fictional Chinese city.

The pictures also display the spotting of Optimus Prime at the Queensway Bridge and of other concept cars in the area for the possibly two days shooting from August 26 to 27. The newly-revealed photos which allegedly were taken on Wednesday, August 26, can be obtained from Transformers Movie Chronicles as well as from mylordsinuhe and djlakitu.

Some speculated that the Long Beach's filming may be the continuation of the scenes shot at the Steel Factory in Bethlehem, Philadelphia back in June. Aside from the photos outed, Transformers Movie Chronicles also revealed that the Long Beach shooting involved numerous car stunts and explosions, which may have some connection to LaBeouf's fake injury.

On what happen on the set, Chronicles' scooper Ranger565 reported, "Well I work in the area and they have the whole area set up to be China, as you guys know. Now I did see Prime, Bumblebee, the silver corvette, 2 blue cars (small) and Ironhide. All were parked on the back lot behind Catalina Landing! The scene I witnessed was a traffic scene where they were driving down Shoreline Drive and then 2 flatbed Trucks merge into traffic. THEN BOOOM!!! One of the two trucks blew in half."

A sequel to the hit 2007 film "Transformers" about two clashing robot clans on Earth, "Revenge of the Fallen" is directed by Michael Bay and will see LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro reprising their roles once again. This time, the heroes will be facing a stronger and more powerful villain, the Fallen, who forces them to bring back their foe Megatron to defeat him. It is due for June 26, 2009 release.
