Helena Bonham Carter's recent family tragedy in which four members of her family were killed in car crash has made a halt in 'Terminator Salvation' filming.

AceShowbiz - Family tragedy has forced Helena Bonham Carter to stall the production of "Terminator Salvation". According to WENN, the "Sweeney Todd" actress has to leave the set of the forthcoming action thriller to offer encouragement to her grieving family after getting news about the tragic death of her family's members.
Reports claimed that before she flew back to Britain, Bonham Carter has been given an indefinite leave from the film's set in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The long-time partner of renowned filmmaker Tim Burton has been signed to join the cast ensemble of the McG-directed action movie to portray the pivotal role of the villain, Serena. What effect should this delay of shooting in her part bring to the movie is still uncertain.
Previously, publications have brought up the news about the horrific car crash of Bonham Carter's relatives in South Africa. The incident occurred while they were on safari holiday claimed the lives of four family members and injured three others. Reportedly, the car crash took place near the Welgevonden game reserve when one of the tires burst causing the minivan to lose control and flipped several times.
The fourth installment of "Terminator" franchise which were made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 80s, "Salvation" stars also Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Anton Yelchin, Common, Bryce Dallas Howard and Roland Kickinger. It will center on Worthington's character, Marcus Wright, who will help Bale's John Connor in his resistance against the Skynet. It is due to be released on May 22, 2009.
