Michael said it's okay with him that Lindsay is converting to Judaism as long as she believes in God, yet he doubts she will stick with it for a long time.

AceShowbiz - Allegedly, rumors on the street are true. Lindsay Lohan is converting to Judaism, the Jewish religion of her lesbian lover Samantha Ronson and her family. She thus adds fuel to the speculation that she's taking her relationship with the DJ to the next level and may end it in a marriage.

Lindsay and Sam have been spending time together. The inseparable duo even were seen hitting the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, where Sam was on hand to serve as DJ. They then were reported to be heading for Miami for two days to hang out with Sam's family.

Spending most of her time with Sam and her family, it's not surprising then that Lindsay who has been raised in Catholic faith, is playing with the idea of being Jewish. Sam and her family reportedly are very supportive of Lindsay's religion move.

Her father Michael Lohan is the other person to comment on that matter, saying he's okay with that "as long as she believes in God." As a self-proclaimed born-again Christian, he nevertheless is skeptical of Lindsay converting to Judaism. "She's exploring right now," he said. "She's explored the Church of Scientology, she tried Kabbalah, and now this. I think it's just another phase. But either way, she's involving God in her life, and I'm happy about that."

Lindsay, who offers no clue to the report, was seen with Sam attending the grand opening of the Apple Lounge in West Hollywood on Thursday night, August 14. The rumored lesbian lovers, who arrived unnoticed at the Robertson Boulevard hot spot at about 11 P.M. left the scene around 1:45 A.M. to a flashbulb frenzy. They were happy to pose for a few paparazzi pictures.
