Rumor has it that the upcoming action movie 'Punisher: War Zone' will be kid-friendly.

AceShowbiz - When the head-smashing, blood-shedding action movie "Punisher: War Zone" hits the theaters in December, it looks like that it can be enjoyed by kids after all. The latest report coming from the Ray Stevenson-starring film infers that Lionsgate Films are going to push it to be a PG-13 movie.
The news about this possible lowering of the rating came amidst the 'Lexi Alexander drama' in which it was suggested earlier that the director has been canned from the project. Still, the truth on the PG-13 rating is yet to be proven since Lionsgate have given out neither confirmation nor denial on the matter.
Previously, publications have been brought into a frenzy with the speculation that Lionsgate have kicked Alexander out of the project due to huge creative differences on the final cut. On the story, Alexander's friend producer Deborah Del Prete spoke out saying, "She wasn't fired, they took the movie away from her. I've seen her cut and it's amazing, but someone else thought otherwise. I've been working with her and she's a great director."
Starring also Dash Mihok, Julie Benz and Dominic West, "War Zone" takes the Frank Castle's tale right from the beginning. In this film, Castle will be facing mob boss Billy Russoti a.k.a. Jigsaw who seeks out revenge after being left disfigured by Castle. It will come out on December 5.
