Britney Spears is shot together with 2008 MTV Video Music Awards host, Russell Brand for the show's commercial ads.

AceShowbiz - After being mocked by host of MTV Video Music Awards last year for her awful stage act, Pop singer Britney Spears has apparently decided to not take it too personally as she will be in a commercial ads scene for this year's MTV show promotion. This week, the singer has been working on a video shoot taken in Hollywood Paramount Studio along with a British comedian Russell Brand, who will be hosting the show on September 7.
As previously reported, Britney's single "Piece of Me", taken from her 2007 album "Blackout", will compete with Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl", Rihanna's "Take a Bow", Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body", and Jordin Sparks' "No Air" for Best Female Video in this year's MTV annual show. She will also battle Danity Kane, Jonas Brothers, Panic! At the Disco, and Tokio Hotel for Best Pop Video prize.
Her photo shoot and nominations have then made some wondering whether she will appear at the show stage together with the Jonas boys and Lil Wayne, that have been confirmed to perform. Unfortunately, there hasn't any further confirmation from both Britney's side or from MTV's rep.
