He said he's kept his son's placenta and is planning to plant it in an orchard to help fertilize the land.

AceShowbiz - It is what it is. Matthew McConaughey arguably is such an unusual guy and most of all a distinct celebrity father. Boasting the bright future of his baby boy, who's still one month old, he tells CNN's "House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta" in interview that he has kept the infant's placenta and plans to plant it in an orchard, hoping that it will help fertilize the land.

"It's going to be in the orchards, and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit," the actor said, per an interview transcript. "When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river...and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength," he added when referring to the ritual he's adopted.

"This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous," McConaughey claimed further. His interview with CNN's "House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta" is scheduled to be aired in two parts; on August 9 at first then on August 16.

Introducing son Levi Alves McConaughey to the world, McConaughey and model girlfriend Camila Alves already took him to a John Mellencamp concert. The baby boy tasted his first ever red carpet debut when the pair brought him for her Muxo handbag launch party at Kitson boutique on Robertson Boulevard Thursday night, August 7.

McConaughey was spotted carrying Levi in a baby carrier with mother Camila following in close behind. He shielded him from the flashbulb before then returning to the carpet to take pictures with Camila, who's already regained her svelte figure after giving birth on July 7.
