Four of the five members of the band have reportedly confirmed their appearance to receive the BMI Icon honor in September.

AceShowbiz - The rumors on Jackson Five reuniting have been circulating for sometime but not until this coming month that a definite appearance of the legendary band is announced. They will receive the honor from BMI on September 4 at Wilshire Theatre in Beverly Hills and four out of the five members have been confirmed to be in attendance.

Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Jermaine reportedly have reserved their seats at the event that will see them being handed the BMI Icons award in celebration of the 8th annual BMI Urban Awards. According to Associated Press, only Michael Jackson has not yet confirmed his participation.

BMI Icons award is given to musicians with "a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers." Previous recipients include Chuck Berry, Bee Gees, Willie Nelson and Carlos Santana. During the ceremony, the Jackson Five will be honored with all-star musical tribute.

The family band consisting of brothers, shot to fame with their single "I Want You Back". The song was followed by three other hits that reached #1 on the American chart, making them the first band to ever do so. They slowly dissolved in mid '80s and were inducted to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

In November last year Jermaine spoke to the media on the possibility of them getting back together as a singing group in a tour. He even pointed out that the seemingly most reluctant brother, Michael, will also be involved. "Michael will be involved," Jermaine said. "He has to be. He is a Jackson. He was at the meetings. Michael will be involved. We want to tour. We want to touch the lives of everybody who's bought our records and supported us."
