Leonardo DiCaprio to Revive 'Twilight Zone'

The award-winning actor has reportedly teamed up with Warner Bros. through his production company to develop a new movie material from classic TV series 'The Twilight Zone'.

AceShowbiz - Another classic sci-fi television series is going to be brought into the big screen. Following the footsteps of "Star Trek" and "The X-Files", the anthology series of "The Twilight Zone" is most likely to have a new feature film of the same name. This time, it is said to be the project of Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way and Warner Bros. Pictures.

Words are the two are currently in the early stages of seeking material for the movie project. It is further explained that the film may take on one or more episode of the TV series. Unlike "Zone" first big screen version which was made as an episodic movie, the new film is expected to have one continuing storyline based on several episodes.

The first movie adapted from the series was released in 1983. Produced by acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg, it remade three classic episodes of the original TV series and added one original story. It featured the likes of Dan Aykroyd, Albert Brooks, Vic Morrow, Scatman Crothers, and John Lithgow.
