He's teaming up with TV producers Mark Burnett and J. D. Roth to have his own dance competition series which will be emphasized on hip-hop/street dance.

AceShowbiz - Following in the footsteps of his fellow musicians, many of whom are branching out their career beyond the music business, Chris Brown is invading the reality show world. The R&B performer is teaming up with TV producers Mark Burnett and J. D. Roth to create a new dance competition series which will be emphasized on hip-hop/street dance.

The dance show will see contestants go up against one another in a variety of dance-offs, with Chris choosing the winner of each round. "Dancing is more than just a way of moving, it's a different expression of music," he said. "That's what I want to focus on with this show."

Both Burnett and Roth will executive produce the dance competition series via their Mark Burnett Prods. and 3 Ball Prods. The twosome moreover "are developing the show as an hourlong performance series that will have an elimination episode as well," Variety reports.

"Chris Brown really is a superstar, and someone who lives and breathes music and dance - so his credibility is massive in this arena," Burnett said referring to him teaming up with the star. "It's his show; he's headlining it. He's the final arbiter on those who win and those who don't."

There's no word yet on which network will be airing the dance competition series, which has yet a title and release date.
