Jon Favreau Is Back for 'Iron Man 2'

Marvel Entertainment and Jon Favreau reportedly have reached a deal on his return to the action movie sequel after months of uncertainty.

AceShowbiz - For months after Marvel Entertainment's announcement of "Iron Man 2" release date, "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau was left uncertain of his fate with the second film. But, it seems that he won't be wondering any longer. In the latest news regarding the sequel, it is said that the studio has finally reached a deal with the "Elf" director.

By that, it means that the filmmaker who is also credited as actor will be back to helm "IM2". Nevertheless, official announcement over the matter hasn't been released yet. Nikki Finke of the Deadline Hollywood Daily was the first to break this news. Noting further on the signing of Favreau, she wrote that "Marvel Studios boss David Maisel was quick to put out a 'definitely' richer offer to Favreau".

Earlier, it has been reported by many that Favreau has requested to get a modest raise for his second involvement on the Marvel's 'Iron Man' comic adaptation after the movie went on to gross $312.1 million nationwide and $563.8 million worldwide. But, at the time, it was claimed that the studio refused to do so.
