Guillermo del Toro Discusses 'Hellboy III'
Movie

While talking about his upcoming action fantasy movie 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army', Guillermo del Toro took some time to let out possible plot of the third Hellboy movie.

AceShowbiz - Though the fate of "Hellboy III" still hangs in uncertainty, the fact doesn't stop director Guillermo del Toro on having plans for the follow-up of "Hellboy II: The Golden Army". Sharing what he has in mind of the third installment, the 43-year-old shared a bit of the film's possible plot.

Talking about the upcoming "The Golden Army" with MTV, the man behind "Pan's Labyrinth" revealed that in the third film, Hellboy is most likely to face his own destiny. Elaborating on what he meant, del Toro said, "The third one is the adult consequence of what he chose in the second movie. The third movie would deal with facing essentially your destiny, if such a thing exists, and making the ultimate decision."

On the question about where the red-skinned hero really belongs, the human or mystical world, the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker revealed, "That I think will be answered in the third one. The first movie was Hellboy essentially saying, 'I'm human. Everything I see from the side I come from I reject.' The second movie is him realizing that what he is defending may not all be good."

"There is a moment in the film in which Hellboy asks, thick-skulled as he is - it kind of dawns on him that it may not be wrong to be a monster. It is a really nice moment for him. The idea is that we all would love to be accepted by what we consider the norm, and when we are not, it's painful. But I think the third one is about finding out who you need to be accepted by."

Noting that he would be involved with "The Hobbit" project for the next four years, "The Orphanage" producer assured that he prefers if the third movie is being worked in slower pace. "If I had to choose between going faster or going slower, I'll go slower. I don't think sequels that are whipped out are the best ones. I love the idea that we took so many years to make this one. If it takes four years to make 'Hellboy III,' I'm at peace," so claimed del Toro.

Concerning "The Golden Army", the movie is a sequel to the blockbuster action fantasy "Hellboy". The Universal Pictures' tidbit coming out this Friday, July 11, will follow Hellboy in his other adventure to save the human world. This time, baffled by his relationship with Liz, he has to face off the evil elf prince and his unstoppable Golden Army before the prince destroys the human world. The sequel stars Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, James Dodd and Anna Walton among others.
