The actress delivered her first biological child on Monday, July 7 but calls her Sunday Rose, a name which raises many eyebrows.

AceShowbiz - Nicole Kidman's tiny bump has transformed to a baby girl on Monday, July 7. Unlike her birth day, the little one who weighs 6 pounds and 7.5 ounces upon the delivery is named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.

The arrival of the baby was announced by the proud father, country singer Keith Urban, who posted a message on his site saying, "Earlier this morning Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban." He added, "We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today."

With some peculiar celebrity baby names such as Apple, Shiloh and Suri, many have also raised the eyebrows for Nicole's baby's name. One source close to the actress said that Keith penned a song called "Sunday" before the birth and they thought it was a perfect name for the baby.

But some also said that there is a deeper meaning in the name, which is to take a jab at Scientology. "Nicole is a Catholic, and Sunday was an important religious day for her until she was involved in Scientology," said a source. "She's still bitter about her experience with Scientology and the fact her baby's name could be perceived as one last jab doesn't exactly upset her."

No explanation has been given yet other than the couple's representative Allen Eichhorn who updated the condition by announcing that "husband Keith was by Nicole's side, and mother and baby are very well."

Sunday is the first born from Nicole and Keith's marriage. Nicole has two other kids, Isabella and Connor whom she adopted while she was married to Tom Cruise.
